From the Field – March 4, 2012 Disaster Relief Continues

Several Disaster Relief teams from Hickory Grove gathered after the morning services to continue debris removal and clean-up in Harrisburg/Reedy Creek area after the damaging storms and Tornado of early Saturday morning. The teams were hard at work this afternoon removing trees and other storm destruction from the heavily damaged neighborhoods.

As we prepare for the future we will need more volunteers to become trained in Disaster Relief so that we can continue to respond to storms such as the one we experienced yesterday as well as the storms others have felt in places such as Alabama and the Midwest.

  1. Nell Vea says:

What a blessing to see my church family reaching out in such a powerful way. One of the widow ladies you ministered to is a long time friend and prayer partner of mine. For 20 years or more she and I have declared that we have a lot to be thankful for. And on March 3rd, she was thankful the tree was not on her house. Then on March 4th she declared ,”I am thankful for the HGBC team that took care of the big tree that was uprooted and lodged against another tree in my front yard. And they cleared piles of sticks , limbs and debris from the yard too!” We praise the Lord for His faithfulness!
